Ph.D. Minors in Statistics
A Ph.D. minor is offered in Statistics, Environmental Statistics, and
Mathematical Statistics. Guidelines for these minors are listed below.
A Ph.D. minor program in Statistics should include:
A Ph.D. minor program in Statistics should include:
- ST 521-522
- ST 551-552-553 or ST 511-512-513
- Additional statistics-related courses approved by the minor professor. If ST 551-552-553 is taken, the additional courses should total at least 3 credits; if ST 511-512-513 is taken, they should total at least 6 credits.
A Ph.D. minor program in Environmental Statistics is as above, except that two courses from among ST 535, 571, and 573 should be included.
A Ph.D. minor program in Mathematical Statistics should include:
- ST 561-562-563
- ST 551-552 or ST 511-512
- Additional statistics-related courses approved by the minor professor, totaling at least 6 credits.
All programs must be approved by the student's minor professor.
