Types of Surveys

Mail Surveys

The Survey Research Center can coordinate all components of mail surveys. This includes tracking surveys in the multiple mailing procedure so that only non-respondents receive additional reminders. Mailing procedures are used to minimize both non-response and measurement errors.

Telephone Surveys

The Survey Research Center can assist in telephone surveys using computer assisted telephone interviewer (CATI) programs. We use random-digit-dialing techniques to reliably estimate human population opinions, attitudes and behaviors on a wide range of issues. All telephone interviewers go through extensive training on both the calling system and for each new survey.

Internet and Email Surveys

The SRC has experience in conducting both web-based and email surveys using secure online forms which store responses in an SQL database for easy retrieval and analysis by many programs. The SRC can provide advice on the construction of Internet and Email surveys as well as implementation and data collection.
